contradiction

This is the first piece of 'art' that i have made with the specific intention that it should be sold.
So it is very much a contradiction.

I don't like the culture of mass production and i am not fond of consumerism in general.

There is a big difference between producing goods in a way so that everyone can have what they need. But we have gone so far beyond that.
We now have a culture based on an economy that needs people to buy things that they don't need, things that they don't even want. Useless, ugly disposable things.

I think there are two kinds of artist those who just make art for the love of it and those who make art to sell.
Ultimately those who strive towards making money are driven towards the cliche and what they do is largely disposable.
There are some who make things of real quality that people buy and really cherish, but the whole world is flooded with crap products.

I have no intention of embarking into the consumer (i actually mistyped coinsumer) world of crap products.
This is a one off, a joke, a statement against consumerism and is available at the base price with no artist's profit.
