writers for truth by *davespertine:icondavespertine:

if i had children, they would be artists
not bankers, nor politicians, nothing wasteful
and if they were writers, they would not write for money
they would write for truth

i know you can't dictate to your children
only install in them values
i think art is an underated value
undermined

So very true. My parents are pleased that I'm an artist rather than anything else. But my dad is an artist, so they steered me in the right direction :)

We are all slaves to our own systems. Politicians to the systems of governement, bankers to the systems of banking, artists to the systems of art... etc.

Artists gain respect by bending and breaking rules whereas bankers and politicians gain respect by adhering to them.

It is a waste of life to conform too rigidly as much as it is too loosely.

I think it is dangerous for people to have too much responsibility.

Some would say that an artists life is a wasteful one, that their chances of making a decent living are limited. I would say that art is the inspiration for change in all systems.

There are no wasteful jobs, each are neccesary and worthy of respect when done honestly and honourably.

People should follow their lives as they believe that they should, taking risks when neccesary based on their own faith.

We are all individuals, free to do and say as we feel and responsible for the consequences of our actions.

Life is what we make it. Don't waste it.

(Your question was a hard one to answer, i don't know if i answered it, but i tried :)
