is this art?

i know it is art
what ever you think

because to me everything is art
like it or not
it may not be fine art
or 'fine art'
but these semantics are just an art to themselves

art is many things
if not everything
and i can't help but think that if you don't believe that art is everything
then you are missing out
not missing out on something
missing out on almost everything

because art is not all about you
unless it is everything about you
and you don't have to be perfect
just to be you
you don't even have to be good

but of course you don't have to agree with me
when i say that art is everything
you can tell me that you "know" what art is
or that you "know" what art is for you
you can say that you have seen or even that you own the very finest of art
and that your art is the very most valuable because it was made by a great master
who has long since passed away

but maybe your art is as dead as the artist who created it
maybe art is not about rarity and value
maybe art is also about the living and about being alive

you may say that art needs to be made by a great artist, someone renowned, someone famous
someone recognised by the establishment, someone accepted

i would not argue that that is art
but it is not the greatest art
because the greatest art is something that you made yourself and what you will make tomorrow
and it doesn't have to be on a canvas or in an exhibition
art is about doing, far moreso than about owning
it is what we do, not what we have done

art is what makes the world a better place
for all, not just for a few, some elite

when we all realise that, and the establishment accepts that
then we will live in a better world

until then...

I know nothing about art but I feel compelled to say without a doubt in my unknowing mind that
the writing is art
the photo is art

it is just a word, that people use to describe a set of actions that they don't really understand... but it doesn't explain what people do, or why they do it....

it is good to learn to define yourself, as it is good to express yourself, best you can
but maybe we never truly ever do that

it's not about being honest, more about never really knowing for sure.... perhaps there is something profound about trying to get ever closer to the truth... if there is one

The more we define ourself, we more we enclose ourself outside of our comfort zone, not just in photography. I think that while there may be a pursuit for definition, pursuing it does no good. And while there may be no way of knowing what we are, and why we do what, what if there were? But then thinking is healthy no? I suppose philosophers are artists...
You've given new meaning and ideas to me, so for that, thank you.

well there is an art in everything.. yet not everything IS a piece of art. Everything is relative nothing is absolute saying nothing is art might be less provoking than what concerns everything.
