gratitude by davespertine gratitude by davespertine
believe in things that are one off expressions of feelings
not things which are possibly copy and pasted
or the work of (ro)bots

i would be grateful if people spent less time saying thank you
and more time creating better art

Admiration too, is easy to fake, isn't it?

admiration needs time
if we have time to consider
then we have more time to admire

also if we try to admire someone
then it can change how we see them

i suppose it all depends on the motivation we might have for doing so
perhaps flattery is the cliché of false admiration

i appreciate your open [honest] dishonesty
now please show some genuine contempt
lie if you have to
just to make me feel as though i am alive
and living in the real world

Do you appreciate it, or is it fake gratitude?
Genuine comptempt is more difficult for me than genuine flattery. Genuine comtempt is not something that I face one to one in real life. Yes, it is common, from cynical companies, banks, countries...

people probably enjoy flattery whether it is true or not
but yes you are right, contempt comes mostly from large companies
and those who make a living by penalising

gratitude is a sign of weakness, capitalism teaches you.
nevermind, there are some moments when I'd be grateful even for a robot's gratitude :))

(and THAT would be a good title for the next movie 'a robot's gratitude': a girl falls in love with her admirer at dA - but all the lovely comments are written by some spambot specialized in love letters. finally, she discovers the fake - and kills/marries (kitschy movies always are undecided about:)) the owner of the site...

fabio becomes felini :)

we should not take things for granted
and should show our gratitude when it it is heartfelt
but it should not become a daily chore
if the heart is not fully in it then it becomes something else
