The deviant art watermark is an ugly contamination of your work. What is the point in making something beautiful and then stopping people from seeing it properly. If you want to share share, otherwise don't.
I really hate it and won't fave anything which has it.
I am interested in hearing your views about it.
other pieces in this series [link] [link] [btw i love deviant art, it is a great site, great community... just using my art to vent some frustrations]
yeah but it is an integral part of my piece, my piece is better with it, it is meant to be there.... that's the point, art is about the choices we make as artists, what to leave out, what to put in.... Its fine to allow some act of randomness to influence the display of your work if that is a creative part of the piece... if you mess it up so that someone won't steal it, then you mess it up for whoever sees it.
Great post. I never watermarked my work, and I think I never will. It's kinda pretentious and extremely ugly. Besides, I love the creative commons license!

Daily Literature Deviations is a group that is dedicated to bringing literature to the forefront of the deviantArt community. We attempt to accomplish this by daily featuring Literature artists from around the community that deserve the recognition, but are not getting it.
Each day we will feature 10 deviations from the Literature categories in a News Article. In order to support the artists that we feature, we ask that you the news article as well as check out the individual pieces. We understand that each day you may not be able to check out each and every one of the pieces, everyone has their own things going on. We just ask that you make an attempt to help support the growing Literature community.
When it comes to community spirit, `Rushy is a shining example. From participating in devmeets, to providing positive encouragement to other artists, `Rushy can always be found demonstrating what it really takes to be a true deviant. It's without any hesitation that we are delighted to award the Deviousness Award for July 2009 to `RushyRead More
