There is a photograph in my imagination i have decided not to take it nor to share it but it is a photograph same as any other it has been ultimately censored protected
great idea - I really like this concept! ...and I can understand what you mean, but those art thefts I can`t understand... sometimes I really think about "should I upload this one or not? cause maybe some art thefts will steal it..." - and that`s really sad -.-
for me there are two main points to that issue it takes more work to promote an image than it does to create one art is about what we do, not about what we did
for me creativity is a big part of my life.... i guess some prefer to steal rather than create.... but art.... is always about life... and about what we are
we can not ignore the fact that there are a lot of mixed up people out there... and we need to challenge society about that, not individuals... it is not about punishment, more about opportunity... i blame elitism largely

in a capitalist society, morals are a competitive weakness
There are 2 main reasons with equal importance, I show my work to "advertise" myself and to "share" as may bring joy to someone who like my work, as I feel joy when I see works of artists I like... one is pragmatic reason and one human reason.
Will not hide in a hole because there some idiots in this world who might steal my 640/480 pixel image... nor I will feel any compassion for their low level souls ...

what could I see in the mirror?
Copy/paste from your pool: "I think is a risk we can't really avoid in the "digital" / online / internet world, but considering this things, as works are posted in low dimensions and resolutions don't think is a so huge issue ... only thing is that mediators can keep cleaning the mess where they have access...
Watermarks are also a solution, can be obvious watermark or discrete watermark, signatures om the image, etc, can make an image to be less attractive to be stolen...
I will not try to debate about the morality of those who steal... (!) humanity is less evolved as many expect (!) , and since the wonders of technology are accessible to more people this come with it's advantages and disadvantages..."
